"Samidori" is a variety selected and cultivated from Uji native species, grown in Kyoto for use in Gyokuro and Tencha (the raw leaves used in matcha). Grown without the use of any pesticides or chemical fertilizers, using only natural organic fertilizer. Only the first harvest is picked once a year. This is a special matcha that has been painstakingly grown. It can be enjoyed as a thin drink, or it can be added to sweets, dishes, and smoothies for added health benefits.
