This small matcha whisk is made from shirotake (white bamboo) and is traditionally used for Nodate (野点)—the Japanese practice of enjoying tea outdoors. Nodate literally means “field tea,” with 野 (no) meaning “field” or “outdoor” and 点 (date) meaning “to make tea.”
Its compact size makes it perfect not only for outdoor tea gatherings but also for smaller chawan at home. Lightweight, portable, and handcrafted for graceful use anywhere you choose to enjoy your matcha moment.
